Step
5.It's now time to commit ourselves to the
final drawing. Using your fiber tipped pen, (a 0.2 or
0.5 Pilot Drawing Pen) begin by pick - ing out and drawing
over the best pencil lines, use
thick & thin lines by appling more or less
pressure to the nib, it will give any draw - ing a sense of
depth.
Don't religiously trace over your
sketch, the drawing should be, (unlike dinosaurs!) evolving
at every stage. You can either
start by laying over a new sheet of paper and tracing
through or, drawing straight over the pencil sketch. Which
ever way you choose always begin at the top, working your
way down to the bottom, to avoiding smudging the ink with
your hand.

6. There! When the ink
has had a little time to dry, we can erase our pencil lines
so that we have a nice clean drawing to color in. Don't
worry if all of the pencil dosen't rub out, it's nice to see
how the artist has achieved his or her masterpiece!
We can now add a few finishing touches
to the raptor by adding a few muscle lines on the legs, arms
and neck, and maybe a few shadows here and there. Done? Okay
let's color her in.
